You are a Rotarian; you are Rotary, a force for good in the world. Every year, Rotary's 1.2 million members perform extraordinary acts of kindness through service and fellowship. Rotarians not only reach out to their own communities but also traverse the globe to work for all humanity in the spirit of volunteerism that has defined Rotary for more than a century.

In the last year, Rotarians tapped clean water in areas that were dry, opened the doors to education where there had been no schools, and gave thousands of people the food and medical care they needed to live a healthy life. Although water management, literacy, and health and hunger, including the ongoing drive to eradicate polio topped the priority list, members of the world's first service club organization rose to other challenges. They worked to sustain the environment, responded to the ongoing needs of disaster victims, and empowered the next generation of leaders. Rotary is presently a key participant in the relief efforts in Myanmar (Burma). Rotarians' as business and community leaders drive grassroots partnerships with local groups and governments and, on a global level, with organizations such as the UN and World Health Organization that share common goals. Support from The Rotary Foundation enables Rotary clubs to expand their humanitarian reach and work to advance peace throughout the world. You are a Rotarian; you are Rotary, a force for good in the world.
