We were honored to officially induct Mary Smith as our newest Rotarian! Mary’s heart for service, community involvement, and dedication to making a difference make her a perfect fit for Rotary. We are excited to welcome her into a club built on fellowship and the commitment to Service Above Self.
The celebration was even more meaningful as we presented Mary’s husband, Jonathan Smith, with the Service Above Self Award — Rotary’s highest honor recognizing outstanding humanitarian service.
Jonathan’s impact in our community is remarkable:
✨ Through the Thomas Smith Memorial Foundation, he has worked to honor the legacy of Thomas by supporting local families, funding community initiatives, and investing in programs that provide hope, remembrance, and tangible assistance to those in need. The foundation continues to be a source of compassion and generosity within our area.
✨ As a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Robert Parish, Jonathan actively supports charitable outreach, faith-based initiatives, and service projects that strengthen families and uplift neighbors throughout the community.
✨ Most recently, Jonathan has expanded his service by joining the Board of the Flushing Christian Outreach Center, helping guide efforts that provide food, clothing, and essential resources to individuals and families facing hardship.
Today reminded us exactly what Rotary is all about — leadership, family, faith, and service woven together for the betterment of our community.
Please join us in congratulating Mary on her induction and Jonathan on this well-deserved recognition! 👏💛
